OMG! I just found out that TVB uploaded the New Adventures of Chor Lau Heung 1984 in YouTube! They just uploaded the whole 40 series five days ago on 19 June! That's so great! Here's the first episode, and you can follow the whole 40 series in YouTube. It's in Cantonese, which is a delight to me, although it lacks English subtitles.
Also, Michael Miu's 60th birthday was exactly last week on 18 June 2018. Happy 60th birthday, Michael! I have been remiss in posting an article about it because of my schedule, but I do remember it that day. I haven't searched for Michael's latest photo, but he definitely didn't look like a ~60 years old man last year!
Hmmm... what a coincidence that TVB released all CLH 1984 episodes a day after Michael's 60th birthday. I take that as a divine providence, though perhaps TVB did actually time the upload to honour Michael's role (and Barbara's of course) in making this series a classic.

Overall, this was a fantastic series. I've watched this series twice on television and VCD. However, I'm a bit disappointed with the ending because there was some loose-ends that they didn't tie up. I recall watching the opening trailer/theme song there are a few cutscenes showing Michael Miu fighting with Lau Dan at the at the mountain, and the other scene which shows Michael Miu fighting with a woman in a swimming pool and she disappeared into a mirror. I've never seen them appears on screen. What happened to these scene? Did TVB cut out these scenes?
What happened to Kam Ling Chi's brother in the end? Why does Kam Ling Chi have to get Wu Tit-Far drunk, and frames him of sleeping with her that night at beach? Why did she lie about sleeping with him? Is it actually a plot hatched by 原随云? What was her motive for breaking off Wu Tit-Far relationship with Ko Ah-nam?

Hi, thanks for the message. IMO the cut scenes tell about CLH's previous adventures prior to this adventure. It was just to show how busy CLH had been with his adventures prior to meeting Siu Ching and got entangled in the Bat adventure.
We never know what happened to Ling Chi's brother in the end. He was alive, and she said that she would visit him. I assume he remained alive and continue his family's name, serving the new emperor (SC's brother), etc. I think KLC didn't get WTF drunk on purpose; she was just mellow and he was just an idiot, hence they slept together. She didn't tell the Yuen Tsui Wan that she slept with Wu of course because Yuen would leave her. In terms of Koh Ah-nam, I think KLC was angry because Wu told Yuen that they slept together. I do think Wu had a soft spot on KLC, but his love was for Ah-nam for sure.
Saya paling suka CLH versi ini, tidak membosankan meski ditonton berulang2. Dalam lagu tema pembuka ada adegan pertarungan YTW dan CLH dijembatan, dan adegan CLH dan WJJ dibalik turai yang tak ada dalam film. Apakah scene itu memang tidak ada? Atau dipotong?

Begitukah Icha.. Adegan WJJ lumayan bikin penasaran karena CLH tampak tersenyum mesra dg WJJ. Inginnya CLH hanya setia dg SC saja. Icha,aku menunggu fanficmu selanjutnya tentang CLH. Tentang episode akhir dimana CLH sepertinya dikerjai oleh para gadis membuat kejutan dg SC yang tiba2 muncul didalam kapal
